Festival occurs rain or shine. Indoor plan if needed.

Check In:
Check in begins at 9 am. Booths must be completely set up by 10:30 am.

When you arrive, our team will direct you to your booth space. Booth locations are determined on a first come, first served basis by event staff.

You may pull your vehicle to your space and unload quickly.

Vehicles then need to be removed. Metered parking may be
available on Navy Pier, and paid parking is available across the street.

All we are providing is a 10 by 10 space. You need to bring

  • your own canopy (if needed), table, and chairs.
  • Do not bring small candy with wrappers or any other items that may blow into the bay.
  • If you have requested electricity, please bring your own 50 ‘
  • foot extension cord so that power can be accessed.
You are responsible for removing all of your own trash. Public receptacles will not accommodate vendor trash.

Break Down:
You may not break down earlier than 3 pm. Vehicles will not be allowed back on the Pier until 3:30 pm at the earliest, when all pedestrians have cleared. Once you are given the okay by event staff, you may retrieve your vehicle, and bring it to your space to load.

Thanks for participating in this great event!

 A Whale of an Opportunity

Eight years ago, a small group of Embarcadero businesses had a simple dream - let’s create some excitement on the waterfront during the beginning of the year, and let’s focus attention on the whale watching that San Diego offers. This dream was made a reality with the creation of the Big Bay Whale Days Festival. Held indoors at the Port Pavilion at the Broadway Pier, the Festival takes place on Saturday, January 25, from 11am to 3 pm. Our Festival is a great opportunity for local organizations, non-profits and vendors to reach the projected 3,000 to 5,000 people that attend this free event.

The short time commitment and extremely low cost to participate make this a perfect event to take part in. Just fill out the attached application, and reserve your spot now. This year, booth space is free to all participants. Whale Days is a great opportunity...and it won’t be the same without you there. We’d love to have you part of the day. Please get in touch with any questions.
